Then all you have to do is exchange your gifts on the date of the event and reveal who you are to your gift recipient. Or you can also choose to stay anonymous, however that only really works if everyone stays anonymous.
What happens when you mark gift as sent on Elfster?
If you are marking that you have sent your gift, you will have the ability to enter tracking or shipping information that will be sent to the recipient to let them know a gift is on the way. They will not see your name.
How do you see who everyone drew in Elfster?
- Select your Gift Exchange.
- Select the gear icon on the website.
- Select Manage Participants.
- Options for the organizer or assistant(s) to view participant data on the website. Select Show All Draws at the top of the participant list to see who everyone drew.
Does Elfster randomly draw names?
Good News! While names are drawn randomly, our elves take any recent draws participants have had on Elfster into consideration when drawing names.

Creating a new child account is quick and easy. Follow the steps below for a less than two minute setup: Select view my profile on your dashboard. Select the Family Manager button.
How do you create a group on Elfster?
Scroll down to the Groups section on your homepage. Click on "+ Start A Group" at the bottom of the Elfster homepage. You will be prompted to name your Group. After naming your Group, you can either "Start A Gift Exchange" or complete creating the Group by clicking "Skip Exchange."

Does Elfster automatically draw names?
Manually draw or let Elfster draw your names. Names are automatically drawn the morning after the sign-up deadline. If you don't want Elfster to automatically draw names then because you'd like to check who signed up, create draw restrictions, or anything else, you can do so yourself!

- When you mark a wish as "purchased," it won't notify or show up for the wishlist owner. To mark an item as purchased, you need to draw this person's name in a Gift Exchange, or follow them as a friend.
- Is poking on Elfster anonymous?
- By default, messages to the person you drew are marked to send anonymously. If you uncheck the Send Anonymously box, your name will be displayed.
- What happens if you remove someone from Elfster?
- Removing someone prior to names being drawn will not affect the draw. If you notice the duplicate AFTER names have been drawn, DO NOT unassign them. Simply follow the directions to remove them. Removing someone after names are drawn will affect pairings, but names will be automatically reassigned by Elfster.
- How do you mark a gift as sent on Elfster?
- When your Gift Exchange is underway, you will have the option to mark your gift as sent once you have placed your gift in the mail, or received once your gift has been delivered to you. The next screen will allow you to Mark as Sent or Received.
